I. Briefly – I submit that the Bible has been certified by God
A. Confirmed with
evidence
Act 2:22-24 "Men of Israel,
listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with
miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst,
just as you yourselves know-- (23) this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and
foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put
Him to death. (24) "But God raised Him up again, putting an
end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its
power.
Heb
2:1-4 For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what
we have heard, so that we do not drift away from
it. (2) For if the word spoken through angels proved
unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, (3) how will we
escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken
through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, (4) God also testifying with them, both by signs
and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according
to His own will.
B. Muhammed did not performed
miracles

fulfillment of prophecy
and by standing
the test to science, history, geography.
2. The Qur’an fails at
this test.
THE QUR'AN IS NOT THE
INSPIRED
WORD OF GOD
We will be comparing today the
Bible and the Qur'an. When you
compare the “proofs” that the Muslims use to try to prove the Qur’an to be the word of God, and the “proofs” that we have
concerning the Bible as the word of God there is no comparison at all.
The
Muslim’s proofs take “blind faith." You will need to already believe in
the Qur'an.
You must take the testimony of the Qur’an’s
that it is the word of God.
Only one can be "Divinely Inspired."
The Qur'an is
not consistent with known Scientific Laws
And there
is nothing in the Qur'an that pre-dates true
scientific knowledge...as does the Bible.
The Qur'an tells us about "Seven
Heavens" in S.67:3, S.23:86, S.71:15, S.41:12; S.17:44
What is meant by the "Seven Heavens?" One might
pass over these verses as essentially poetic, but Dr. Torki,
an Islamic scholar, attempts to show that this agrees with modern astronomical
knowledge.
Starting with the
earth's atmosphere which averages about 40 kms in
thickness as the first heaven, he then multiplies this by 10,000 for the second
heaven (lunar heaven), then multiply that by 10,000 for the third (solar)
heaven, then that by 10,000 for the fourth (etc...) he comes up with the galactic
heaven and the cosmic heaven, etc.
Calling the earth's atmosphere the first heaven, and everything else the
second, might have some validity; but everything else is arbitrary.
Outside the earth's atmosphere,
space is continuous and qualitatively similar, as Torki
himself says. It is a basic assumption to separate what is continuous space
into a lunar and a solar heaven. It is a basic assumption to separate the sun,
which is a star, from the near stars, or from the galaxy which contains it. It
is a basic assumption to call our galaxy one heaven, and other galaxies another
heaven. Even multiplying by 10,000 seems to be a completely arbitrary basic
assumption since no scientific reason is given............Even more important
from the Muslim standpoint, Dr. Torki's hypothesis
does not agree with the following verses from the Qur'an,
S.37:6, ``We have indeed adorned the lower
heaven with the beauty of the stars.''
S.41:12 ``And He
completed them seven heavens in two days and inspired in each heaven its
command; and We adorned the lower heaven with lamps (masabih), and rendered it guarded...''
S.67:3,5, ``He Who
created the seven heavens, one above the other... And We
have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps (masabih)...''
I would like to talk about more scientific difficulties of the Qur’an such as:
MOUNTAINS - SHOOTING STARS
AND METEORS - PROBLEMS ABOUT
TIME THAT THINGS HAPPENED…..
The Bible has knowledge that could only have come from God
In Psalm 8:8 David tells of the
"paths of the sea." If you ever pass by the

read this verse. The senior Maury asked for it to be repeated. He then said,
"If God says there are 'paths of the sea' I'm going to find them."
When he got well, that is just what he did. We now have the modern shipping lanes
and can track fish in these "paths of the sea" that were "discovered"
by Matthew Fontain Maury. He really didn't discover
them, however. God told him that they were there!!
Paul said, "All flesh not the same." He asserts that there is
a different flesh of animal, man, fish, and fowl. Until the invention of the
electron microscope we could not tell from one kind of flesh from another. It
was assumed that the cells were the same. If a woman was murdered and they
found fragments of flesh under her fingernails, they wouldn't have known if she
scratched a man, pinched her dog, or was preparing dinner. Now they can take a
few cells and determine exactly what type of flesh it was. Because we now
know..."all flesh is not the same" - 1 Cor.
In Lev.
In Isa.
49:22 and Prov.
Ptolomy and
other scientists of their day determined that you can count the stars. They
designed elaborate grids to keep track of their position. The
determined that there were approximately 3200 stars. This was accepted
"science" until the development of the telescope. Now we know that
the "stars are innumerable," just as recorded by God for us in Jer. 33:22; Heb.
There are many, many other examples
such as Job's statement that the "earth not supported" - Job 26:7
Babies were to be circumcised on the
eighth day. We know now that blood does not begin to clot until the eighth day.
Babies could have bled to death. We now can inject vitamin K into babies to
promote blood clotting and safely circumcise them before the eighth day. But
how could Moses have known that vitamin K wasn't produced in babies until the
eighth day?
Modern Scientific Knowledge
The Muslims concept
of our beginnings differ from the Bible.
They boast of being smart enough to believe the "big bang
theory" and that most all scientists agree that is how the earth
began.....and that the Qur'an speaks of such. I deny
that is true science.
They affirm that the scientists agree
to an "old" earth (millions or billions of years old).....and that
denies the "young" earth theory of the Bible. This is not true
science.....We are talking theories.
We need to consider scientific laws
like the 1 & 2 laws of thermodynamics; and the laws of Biogenesis. The LAWS of Science tell us that the earth
is running down - not evolving. The LAWS of Science tell us that "All life
comes from pre-existing life" - not that life spontaneously generated from
non-life. The LAWS of Science tell us that
each species reproduces "after its own kind" - just like the Genesis
account.
The Bible is not a Science book....
and is not expected to explain all scientific knowledge. But every place it
touches on Science it is correct.
I think that it is further proof that
it is from God in that it never makes silly statements that would reflect the
science of its time. Some recent (so called) "inspired" books written
by men (only a little over 100 years ago) tell us that when a mother nurses her
child the child takes on the characteristics of the mother. Wet nurses who were of bad moral character
passed on those characteristics to the child......Another says that metal,
including precious metal, "grows like the hair on your head." It
grows much slower, but if left alone it is constantly growing.....WHY DOESN'T
THE BIBLE MAKE SUCH CLAIMS .... IT IS MUCH OLDER!!
COMPARE THE BIBLE AND THE QUR'AN
The Bible is consistent with its
message throughout. The Bible was
written by 40 writers over 1500 yrs. It
is certainly amazing, to say the very least, that there are no contradictions.
The message is constant.....the OT pointing toward a Messiah, a Savior who
would come to the children of
The Muslims claim the same for the Qur'an; that there are no contradictions. That is just not true. But if it were true. We know that it was given by 1 man in 1
generation. We would almost expect that there would be no contradictions.
Seeing how the Bible has such
scientific pre-knowledge; how all the prophecies and information were
consistent throughout the 1500 years and 40 writers, etc. we must realize that
"Men COULDN'T HAVE WRITTEN IT" even if they wanted to.......However,
if someone wanted to write a book like the Qur'an, or
the Book of Mormon, or Doctrines and Covenants, the works of Mary Baker
Eddie.....not only COULD THEY....THEY DID!!
Another important proof that the
Bible came from God is that "Men WOULDN'T HAVE WRITTEN IT, even if they
could." The Bible doesn't allow men to satiate their appetites. The Bible restricts man to one wife....for
life. The Bible demands
"self-control" in areas that man would rather not have to control
himself. The Qur'an
allows for those things that man would like to do. Not only now....but in
heaven. For that matter the Qur'an is just
what men WOULD have written....allows for sensuality, polygamy, and other
desires of the flesh.
Mohammed certainly had respect for
the Bible as God's word!! Mohammed said
to believe all of these inspired writers.
The Muslims are supposed to believe Moses...They are to believe the Tora...
“We
(Allah) sent inspiration to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac,
Jacob and the tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We
(Allah) gave the Psalms.....” S.4:163
“It is
He Who sent down To thee (step by step), In truth, the Book, Confirming what
went before it; And He sent down the Torah (of Moses) and the Gospel (Of
Jesus).” S.3:3
“If thou
were in doubt as to what We (Allah) have revealed unto
thee, then ask those who have been reading The Book from before thee. The Truth hath indeed come to thee from the
Lord; so be in no wise of those who doubt.”

and mis-statements that we find in the Qur'an as it applies to OT history. I am sure that we can
find many more.
In the Qur'an's
version of Noah and the flood, one of Noah's sons drowned....In the Tora all were saved

near the door when his wife seduces Joseph....In the Tora
he was not home

he was imprisoned for resisting Potipher's wife
In the Qur'an's version of the
Pharaoh's dream the cupbearer tells the interpretation of the dream....In the Tora Joseph does

Baby Moses in the Nile Pharaoh's people pick up Moses and the Pharaoh's wife
urges him not to kill the child....In the Tora
Pharaoh's daughter finds the child
In the Qur'an's version of when
Moses met Jethro's daughters in Midian

Mohammed
said to respect and believe the Bible...even the Gospel of Jesus Christ......But
the Qur'an contradicts the Gospel of Christ

IMPORTANT DOCTRINAL DIFFERENCES. GOD COULD NOT BE THE AUTHOR OF BOTH!

QUR'AN EVEN CONTRADICTS THE QUR'AN....

Bible was written by 40 writers - over a span of 1500 yrs....note that Nadir
gave us the best THAT THE ENEMIES OF THE BIBLE CAN FIND AS
contradictions............)
Compare the Bible with the Qur'an given by Mohammed 1 man over the span of ...1
generation. I WOULD EXPECT THAT THERE BE NO CONTRADICTIONS....BUT...
Remember I said from the beginning
you should look for the quality of evidence....now let's Compare contradictions
in the Qur'an!!
THE QUR'AN CONTRADICTS THE QUR'AN
Concerning COMPULSION IN RELIGION -
Fight & slay the Pagans wherever you find them Fight those who believe not
in God nor the last day 9:5; 29
9:5. Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist,
7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islââmic calendar)
have passed, then kill the Mushrikûûn (see V.2:105)
wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them
each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salâât
(Iqââmat-as-Salâât), and give Zakâât,
then leave their way free. Verily, Allââh is Oft-
Forgiving, Most Merciful.[]
9:29. Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allââh,
(2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allââh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not
the religion of truth (i.e. Islââm) among the people
of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah[] with willing
submission, and feel themselves subdued.
BUT THE QUR'AN ALSO TEACHES....
Let there be NO COMPULSION in
Religion 2:256
2:256. There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become
distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tââghûût[] and believes in Allââh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold
that will never break. And Allââh is All-Hearer,
All-Knower.
The Qur'an
also teaches that OTHER RELIGIONS - Any who believes in God whether Jews,
Christians Or Sabians shall
have their reward in the Lord 2:62
2:62. Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, [] whoever believes in Allââh
and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their
Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve [].
However, the Qur'an
also teaches that If anyone desires a religion other
than Islam.....it will never be accepted of him 3:85
3:85. And whoever seeks a religion other than Islââm,
it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers[].
The Qur'an
also teaches that CHRIST DID NOT DIE 4:157-158
4:157. And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam
(Mary), the Messenger of Allââh," - but they
killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa
(Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who
differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they
follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam
(Mary) <><> <>]: 158. But Allââh
raised him ['Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and
soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allââh
is Ever All Powerful, All Wise. THEY TEACH THAT
JESUS DIDN'T DIE...HE WAS TRANSLATED UP INTO HEAVEN MUCH LIKE ENOCH...
But then it says that Christ Did die
THE QUR'AN WILL ALSO TELL YOU WHAT IS
THE WORST SIN
Lie against God -
7:37. Who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allââh
or rejects His Ayâât (proofs, evidences, verses,
lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)?
Falsely claim inspiration - 6:93
6:93. And who can be more unjust than he who
invents a lie against Allââh, or says: "I have
received inspiration," whereas he is not inspired in anything; and who
says, "I will reveal the like of what Allââh has
revealed." And if you could but see when the Zââlimûûn
(polytheists and wrong doers, etc.) are in the agonies of death, while the
angels are stretching forth their hands
Reject Him and His signs
8:22. Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allââh are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not
(i.e. the disbelievers). 6:21. And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allââh or rejects His Ayâât
(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.)? Verily, the Zââlimûûn (polytheists and wrong doers, etc.) shall never
be successful. Polytheism - 4:48 Verily,
Allââh forgives not that partners should be set up
with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He
pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allââh in
worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.[]
The Makeup of the Qur'an
The Qur'an is a mixed up conglomeration of Judaism, Apostate
Catholicism (takes on the false teachings of the early apostate Catholic church), And sensualism....gives
man what he desires rather than what he needs.

CONCERNING THE APOSTATE CATHOLICISM
- THE QUR'AN SPEAKS TO A PERVERSION OF JESUS' SONSHIP (6:101), THE
"DEITY" OF MARY (5:116), AND "TRINITY" (5:73-74)
6:101. He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have
children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All- Knower
of everything[].
5:116. And (remember) when Allââh will say (on the Day
of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my
mother as two gods besides Allââh?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me
to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner
self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All
Knower of all that is hidden and unseen. ......CATHOLICISM MAKES MARY AS
GOD....
5:73-74. Surely, disbelievers are those who said:
"Allââh is the third of the three (in a
Trinity)." But there is no ilââh (god) (none who
has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilââh (God -Allââh). And if they cease not from what they say, verily,
a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. 74. Will they not
repent to Allââh and ask His Forgiveness? For Allââh is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.[]

THE QUR'AN ALSO MIXES IN A GREAT
DEAL OF SENSUALISM
IT ALLOWS FOR POLYGAMY
(4:3) And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the
orphan girls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four
but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then
only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That
is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice. IT ALLOWS FOR EASY DIVORCE
(2:229-232)
229. The divorce is twice, after that, either you retain her on reasonable
terms or release her with kindness. And it is not lawful for you (men) to take
back (from your wives) any of your Mahr (bridal money
given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) which you have given
them, except when both parties fear that they would be unable to keep the
limits ordained by Allââh (e.g. to deal with each
other on a fair basis). Then if you fear that they would not be able to keep
the limits ordained by Allââh, then there is no sin
on either of them if she gives back (the Mahr or a
part of it) for her Al-Khul' (divorce)[]. These are
the limits ordained by Allââh, so do not transgress
them. And whoever transgresses the limits ordained by Allââh,
then such are the Zââlimûûn
(wrong-doers, etc.). 230. And if he has divorced her (the third time), then she
is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband. Then,
if the other husband divorces her, it is no sin on both of them that they
reunite, provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by Allââh. These are the limits of Allââh,
which He makes plain for the people who have knowledge. 231. And
when you have divorced women and they have fulfilled the term of their
prescribed period, either take them back on reasonable basis or set them free
on reasonable basis. But do not take them back to hurt them, and whoever does
that, then he has wronged himself. And treat not the Verses (Laws) of Allââh as a jest, but remember Allââh's
Favours on you (i.e. Islââm),
and that which He has sent down to you of the Book (i.e. the Qur'âân) and Al-Hikmah (the
Prophet's Sunnah - legal ways - Islââmic
jurisprudence, etc.) whereby He instructs you. And fear Allââh,
and know that Allââh is All- Aware of everything.
232. And when you have divorced women and they have fulfilled the term of their
prescribed period, do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands,
if they mutually agree on reasonable basis. This (instruction) is an admonition
for him among you who believes in Allââh
and the Last Day. That is more virtuous and purer for you. Allââh
knows and you know not.
THE QUR'AN OFFERS
53.Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 54. So (it
will be), and We shall marry them to Houris[] (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes.
THE QUR'AN EVEN PROMISES YOU ALL YOU
WANT TO DRINK & NO HANGOVER (56:17-19)
17. They will be served by immortal boys, 18. With cups,
and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 19. Wherefrom
they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication.
In the Bible - God is "no respecter of persons" - no
class system
Paul....And
all the apostles had to live by the same law as demanded of us.
EVEN JESUS lived and died under the
OT Law....No exceptions for Him either.
Qur'an - God is a "respecter of
persons"
Mohammed granted special favor in:
1. The number of wives he could have
33:50-51
2. Treatment of his wives when it
comes to "due benevolence."
3. Divorce 66:1-5
4. Whom he could marry 33:37
5. Even being forgiveness of sins
before their commission 48:2
In the Bible - We read of a perfect
God.
Qur'an - Some qualities of God
unworthy of deity
The Qur'an
says that God CAUSES some to err 35:8; 45:23;
The Qur'an
says that God endorses the denial of one's faith under certain circumstances

The Qur'an
teaches that God will forgives some sins even before they are committed 48:2
By the Qur'an's
theory of "cancellation and abrogation," the Qur'an
makes God "vascillating" S. 2:106...."None of Our (Allah) revelations do we
abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We (Allah)
substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou
not that Allah Hath power over all things?"
S.16:101......"When We (Allah) substitute one revelation for another, -and Allah
knows best what He reveals (in stages), - They say, 'Thou art but a forger' but
most of them know not."

THE
INSPIRED WORD OF GOD DENIES ANY FURTHER REVELATIONS FROM GOD.

NEW TESTAMENT IS FINAL!!

2. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE QUR'AN

Matt. 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching
them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to
the end of the age."
B. COMPLETE in Christ (Col.
2:10)...... "in
Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and
authority..."
C. Scriptures delivered "One time for all time"(Jude
3) Beloved, while I was making every
effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write
to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for
all delivered to the saints.
3. THERE IS NO USE FOR THE QUR'AN
It denies the crucifixion of Christ, omits his resurrection, and perverts the very person of God and His Son, thereby robbing man of his only hope.
