AMNON LUSTED FOR HIS SISTER.....
1. This wasn't love.... It was unbridled lust
2. Perhaps you have been there....
~ Someone that you felt you could not do without
~ Someone that you had no right to have
3. When one is tempted in this regard, whether 15 or 55, nothing else matters.
~ If you are single.... the one you desire is your closest friend's....
~ If married....your wife/husband no longer is the delight of your eye
~ NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!

FRIEND" & COMRADE

2. There are many other consequences to sexual sins
Gospel preacher told me about a man....
A. He was about twenty-seven years old, and he cried as he told the story of his earlier life when he had been immoral.
B. His girl friend had an abortion of his child, and he had agreed to it.
C. When he told the story in the Bible Class, the tears ran from his eyes
as he said that the aborted child would have been his eight year old if
the abortion had not been performed.
D. He not only told this story in front of those whom he had just met, but
his wife, who was not the mother of the aborted child, was also a
student in this class.
3. Sin has consequences.
4. Easy solutions to the consequences of sin are not without their own
problems.
5. Look at the consequences to Amnon's sins

Sin is Pleasurable
I. Much sin is pleasurable.
A. Moses was well aware of the pleasures he could have experienced as
a son of the king. Heb. 11:25.
choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God, than to enjoy the
passing pleasures of sin;
1. You can imagine what he could have experienced.
2. What would YOU have done?
C. James shows the nature and progression of lust. James 1:12-15.
(James 1:12 -15 NASB) Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he
has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised
to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted
by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt
anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own
lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is
accomplished, it brings forth death.
1. There is blessing to the one who overcomes temptation.
Jas. 1:12.
2. Temptation comes through lust. Jas. 1:13, 14.
3. Lust which develops in the mind is sin. Jas. 1:15.
D. Paul warned against lust or evil desire. 1 Cor. 10:6; Eph. 2:1-3.
(1 Cor 10:6 NASB) Now these things happened as examples for us, that we should
not crave evil things, as they also craved.
(Eph 2:1-3 NASB) And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
E. All sins have consequences
1. All should guard against immorality by following the exhortation
of the preacher. Prov. 6:20-35.....READ
2. You probably know of those who have ruined their lives through
such sins of indiscretion.
