Sin and its Cure

Features of SIN:

The LOVE of Sin

John 3:19-20, "And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed."

Hebrews 11:25, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near."

The PRACTICE of sin

Romans 3:10 "as it is written, 'THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;'"

Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

The STATE of Sin

Isaiah 59:1-2, "Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Neither is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear."

Ephesians 2:12, "remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world."

The GUILT of Sin

Psalm 51:2, "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin."

Romans 6:23,"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 5:12, "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--"
